What is a nexus letter?
An independent medical opinion explaining whether medical evidence supports a connection between a veteran’s condition and military service.
Does NexVet diagnose or treat conditions?
No. NexVet reviews records and prepares nexus opinions. It does not diagnose, prescribe, provide emergency care, or replace your local treating clinicians.
Is the service available nationwide?
Yes. Nexus-letter record reviews are available to veterans in all 50 states.
How much does an appointment cost?
The preserved site lists $250 for a one-hour nexus-letter appointment. This POC price must be reconfirmed before production.
Does every review result in a letter?
No. A letter is prepared only when the clinician determines that the supplied evidence supports an independent medical opinion.
Does a nexus letter guarantee benefits?
No. The VA considers the full claim under applicable rules. NexVet cannot promise or guarantee a favorable decision.
What records should I gather?
Relevant service records, current medical records, prior VA decisions, DBQs, and other documents that explain the history of the condition.
